Directions by Land or by Sea - How To Get To Selby Bay Yacht Club

Arriving by Sea:

From Annapolis and Points North of South River:

Travel south along the western shore of Chesapeake Bay to Thomas Point Shoal Light. Turn sharply right as you pass the light, leaving the light to starboard, entering South River at a bearing of approximately 270° magnetic. Follow the marked float-free channel to Red marker #4, leaving the marker to starboard. Proceed at a bearing of approximately 320° magnetic. Turn left just after Green Marker #5 and follow the shoreline on the left to Green Marker #1, leaving the marker to port. The entrance to SBYC is straight ahead, on the left, just before Red Marker #2.

From Points South of South River:

Travel north along the western shore of Chesapeake Bay and enter South River, navigating toward Red Marker #4, leaving the marker to starboard. Proceed into South River toward Green Marker #5, leaving the marker to port. Turn left just after Green Marker #5 and follow the shoreline on the left to Green Marker #1, leaving the marker to port. The entrance to SBYC is straight ahead, on the left, just before Red Marker #2.

Arriving by Land:

From Annapolis:

Take Route 2 South (Solomon's Island Road), continuing over the bridge over the South River and passing South River Colony Shopping Center on your left. Proceed to the light at Central Avenue (Route 214) and turn left. Travel 3.6 miles and turn left onto Turkey Point Road. Continue approximately one half mile to SBYC on the left.

From Washington, DC:

Follow Route 50 East from Washington to Exit 22, Aris T Allen Boulevard (Route 665). Continue approximately 1 mile to the second exit, Solomon's Island Road (Route 2 South). Continue for 3.7 miles and turn left at Central Avenue (Route 214). Travel 3.6 miles and turn left onto Turkey Point Road. Continue approximately one half mile to SBYC on the left.

From Baltimore and Points North:

Take Interstate 97 South toward Annapolis. As I-97 merges onto Route 50 East, stay in the right lane and exit onto Aris T. Allen Blvd. (Route 665). Continue approximately one mile and exit onto Solomon's Island Road (Route 2 South). Continue for 3.7 miles and turn left at Central Avenue (Route 214). Travel 3.6 miles and turn left onto Turkey Point Road. Continue approximately one half mile to SBYC on the left.

From Bay Bridge/Eastern Shore:

From the Bay Bridge, follow Route 50 West to Exit 23-A (Route 2 South/Solomon's Island Road). Continue on Route 2 for 4.6 miles and turn left on Central Avenue (Route 214). Travel 3.6 miles and turn left onto Turkey Point Road. Continue approximately one half mile to SBYC on the left.
