Kick off your flip-flops at the Pool Party. Run your toes through the grass at a BBQ picnic. Or break in your tux shoes on the dance floor at the Commodore's Ball. If there's one thing that SBYC members love to do, and do well, it's to have fun and celebrate in style. Each year, our Entertainment Committee, with the help of member volunteers and sponsors, puts together an impressive calendar of events. We eat well, we drink well, and we dance... not always well, but we dance. We have events for the kids and events for the "grownups". We laugh, we try new things, and more than anything - we enjoy each others' company. 

Early May brings Opening Weekend and the anticipation of warmer weather. The Commodore's Cocktail Party on Saturday evening gives way to traditional Opening Ceremonies on Sunday morning, when we give thanks, raise the flags and fire the cannon, marking the official start of the new boating season. Following the Fleet Captain's review of the fleet, we all celebrate with a BBQ picnic lunch Sunday afternoon. The fun continues throughout the year with picnics, pool parties, pot luck dinners, wine pairings, white elephant gift exchanges and much more. 

In addition to "official" SBYC events, our Clubhouse is available to members for meetings, parties and celebrations as well. Simply contact the Club Manager or Vice Commodore for information and availability.
